Supervised Contact

Children’s Supervised Contact (Access)

Sometimes parents divorcing or separating cannot work out an amicable agreement for arranging access or handover of their children for access or contact. Napier Family Centre Children’s Supervised Access provides professional supervision of children (from new-born to teenagers) having access with non-custodial parents or relatives. We also facilitate changeovers of children between parties.

Napier Family Centre is an approved provider for Supervised Access by Child Youth & Family Services and Family Courts.

Access may occur any day of the week and at a location agreed to by all parties. We can run access sessions either in-house in a child friendly environment or outside in the community at an approved location.

Napier Family Centre’s Supervised Access service is a child-focussed service that provides safety for all parties, neutrality and privacy and a level of service that abides by the New Zealand Association of Children’s Supervised Access Services.

The focus of our service is to ensure children’s emotional and physical safety during access and promote enjoyable, quality time for both parent/relative and children.

This service is available 7 days including public holidays and over holiday periods (extra charges apply).

Fees:
Fees apply for this service and can be discussed with the Coordinator Ph 843 7280.  An initial assessment fee of $50+GST applies to all new contracts. Administration and travel expenses also apply. In some cases the Family Court or CYFS may fund access visits.
