Another successful Christmas Cheer
While we’re already hurtling into a a new year, we are still reflecting with gratitude on the success of the 2023 Christmas Cheer appeal. At Napier Family Centre, we’re privileged to witness the power of community coming together to spread joy and kindness during the holiday season.
With your support, we were able to provide Christmas Cheer parcels to 64 families, including 174 children and 90 adults. These parcels, filled with gifts and donations from schools, kindergartens, whanau, churches, clubs, businesses, trusts, and our local community, brought happiness to many households.
We’re deeply grateful to Napier City Council and Craggy Range for their generous contributions, including Pak’n’Save vouchers and Santa sacks for each child. Conroy Removals also played a vital role by generously donating the boxes we used to pack all the gifts.
The generosity displayed by our community was truly humbling, with contributions ranging from lollies to handmade teddies, to books, bikes and winter PJs. Each donation, no matter how big or small, made a meaningful impact and added to the spirit of giving. Your generosity has made a tangible difference in the lives of many families, and we’re proud to be part of a community that cares so deeply for its members.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the success of Christmas Cheer 2023. Our dedicated Christmas Cheer Coordinator Jill was supported by a wonderful team of volunteers, including Sarah, Lydene, Debbie, Trevor, Christine, Chelsea and our wonderful admin team.
Thank you once again to everyone who helped make Christmas Cheer 2023 a resounding success. Your kindness and generosity have touched the lives of many, and for that, we are truly grateful.
